CLOSE THE LOOP! When you hear the word “confrontation,” chances are good that your mind immediately goes toward something negative.
Confrontation is one of the most liberating skills you can learn because it doesn’t allow moments to build into monuments of anger, fear, shame, & self-doubt.
Like any skill, you must practice the art of confrontation. First, change your relationship with the word itself. Instead of imagining it’ll be a knock-down, drag-out, carnage-fest, see it as something positive, seeking a resolution while keeping your mental palate clean.
That way, things don’t build up, you can fully be present, & your life is efficiently peaceful.
Like anything, you may not handle confrontational moments well, but stay with it. You’re rewiring your emotions associated with more productive outcomes.
