Let them struggle (Episode 598 of The Sales Life Podcast)

If you really, really, really wanna help someone out do so by letting them struggle because growth comes beyond the point of frustration.

I think about the times when I'm quick to help my daughter with a big word or finish an assignment (which I some times end up doing for her) and robbing her of the opportunity to figure it out.

Help will not always be there and if you're always relying on someone to help you then you'll never learn to figure it out on your own.

A friend of mine sets it up best. His kids cannot come ask for help until they make progress BEYOND THE STICKING POINT.

Let your friends, children, employees, and even your parents struggle because it's better you run behind them, than for them.
