Excuses lead to exceptions.
Nothing happens immediately. That’s a blessing and a curse. It’s a blessing that you don’t drop dead after smashing a seafood 🦞 platter, but it’s a curse that the tiny, daily exceptions lead to a 60 lbs weight gain over time.
The baseline always moves. When you make an exception because “nothing happened,” you make a few more exceptions. Before long, you’re working out less, sleeping in longer, drinking more, & broke as hell.
I should know. I was that guy. Never again. There are six daily disciplines that I hit every day, no matter what. I now only enjoy my life, but I’m in shape to enjoy my life.
