Can you customize a leased vehicle?
Absolutely. One of the biggest reasons people shy away from leasing is because they think they can’t personalize their vehicle. The truth is, you usually can—you just need to know a few things before you start adding accessories or modifications.

• Make sure the modifications don’t void your factory warranty.
• Use equipment that’s designed to be compatible with your vehicle and have it professionally installed.
• If you plan to turn the vehicle in at the end of the lease instead of buying it, you’ll typically need to remove those modifications and return the vehicle to its original condition. Any damage caused by those modifications could be considered excess wear and tear.
Leasing doesn’t mean you can’t make the vehicle your own. It just means you need to customize it the right way.
