This is the sales life. I'm your host marsh B. And I created the sales life because I believe the number one skill that you need in your life to embrace uncertainty, handle the adversity and never settle again is the ability to sell, but you don't have to be in sales to learn how to sell. I'll take the skills that I've learned in the sales profession, and I'll show you how I've applied these to every area of my life and how you can too. Enjoy today's TSL moment and see how you can apply it to your life today. For more on the sales life. Go to marshbuice.com that's M a R S H B U I C E. Stay. Everybody knows the outcome of David and Goliath, but what most people. Take stock in is they don't look at how it all began. Joshua Medcalf writes long before Goliath, David worked a degrading. A humiliating job. See, David was not the prize jewel, David wasn't all of a sudden David, when he met Goliath, David was David a long time. Not knowing when his big break was gonna come, not knowing how much longer he was gonna have to pound the stone. He didn't know, but David was being David. When he was out there in the fields when no one was watching, when no one was paying attention, when it was hot, when it was muddy, when it was raining, when it was thankless, when it was underappreciated, when he was the smallest one in the bunch, he was faithful to his process. In life. Everyone is going to face a Goliath moment. And in that moment, what do most people do oh my God. If only I would've known this moment was coming and everybody starts scrambling around trying to figure out what they're gonna actually do. And one thing I never want you to do is wait for a Goliath moment and whatever your Goliath moment is. I mean, you get all of a sudden slapped on the operating table and you gotta have open heart surgery. That's a Goliath moment. Why wait for those moments? And instead, won't you go ahead and work for the moment. Today is your "David Day" it's when you're out there, when nobody's patting you on the back, when there's no applause, when no one's showing up, when it seems like it's for nothing. You're not waiting for the moment you train for the day, and I'm gonna give you a few pointers on how to make today and every day, your David Day. David Day are voluntary. This is why people don't have a David Day. This is why people wait for the Goliath moments. They wait for the Goliath moments because what they're waiting for is something big to happen. And then they'll figure it out from there. Right wrong. So every day, even when I don't feel like it, even though it's voluntary, no, one's making me go to the gym, but why wait for the moment where the doctor says. You only got six months to live the hell with that. So I'm training for my day. Today is my David Day. No one is making you pick up the phone and call your customers and get rejected. No one's making you do that yet. Will you train as a David Day? So David days are voluntary, but because they're voluntary, you develop the discipline. Which brings the next point of the David Day. , now that you're developing the discipline, now you can develop the consistency. And as you develop the consistency. Now you're ready for anything. It's that? RFA. Do I know everything? No. Am I ready for anything? Yes, I'm ready for anything. Because I've been training in my David Days. This is gonna develop that grit, that resilience, and what resilience means is that you're able to stretch yet. You come snapping back into place. A little bit stronger. And it's that resolve that I'm talking about? Thanks for being a part of the sales life for more on the sales life. Go to marshbuice.com that's M a R S H B U I C E.
