This is the sales life. I'm your host marsh B. And I created the sales life because I believe the number one skill that you need in your life to embrace uncertainty, handle the adversity and never settle again is the ability to sell, but you don't have to be in sales to learn how to sell. I'll take the skills that I've learned in the sales profession, and I'll show you how I've applied these to every area of my life and how you can too. Enjoy today's TSL moment and see how you can apply it to your life today. For more on the sales life. Go to marshbuice.com that's M a R S H B U I C E. Stay. And you're like, what's the use? See, this is where people say, I tried that before it didn't work for me. And so I'm no, no longer gonna do it. The I eed bro, is what's killing you. It's the, I, I tried that before. You've gotta continuously be trying. It's what Peterson's talking about, he's talking about overshooting and continuously learning along the way. So the a hundred pounds, you wanna lose the a hundred thousand dollars that you wanna save the new business that you wanna start, whatever it is that you want, you've gotta overshoot and you've gotta work 30 times as hard to get one blip of a result to get one little shimmer of something. And it looks like from that one thing, I just did 30 reps and got a half ounce of move. but overshooting, and as you continuously overshoot, you're gonna build that momentum. And as you build that momentum, it goes from 30 to one ratio. Then it goes to 29. Then it goes to 28 to one and you may stay at 28 to one for a little bit. And then you raise the intensity again. And then it goes from 28 to one to 25 to one, and then it goes 20 to one, 15 to one, 10 to one, five to one. you never want a one to one. If you're hoping for a one to one that's life in, in its easiest package form a one-to-one ratio, show up and, uh, make a sale. . It don't work that way. It's not supposed to work that way. It's a five to one. Minimum five, but one man, and sometimes some months, it's gonna be 15 to one. Sometimes it's gonna be a hundred to one, but you continuously show up. You continuously keep doing it. You continuously overshoot. And along the way, I keep trying. and the ratios shrink and they compound down at first, they're compounding up. It's like, the resistance is up against you, but as you keep doing it, it's gonna start clicking together. Then all of a sudden the ratios are gonna come down. You just don't know when that. That tipping point is, and that's the tough thing in life, you never know where the tipping point is, so you've gotta keep feeding it, keep overshooting until finally it just spills over, but then you don't stop. Just because you're getting some result just because you're making more than you ever have. Just because you got your boo, just because you got your house and your car and you rebuilt your credit just because you got all those things, scratch it out. Keep overshooting. Because the benefits of overshooting, the benefits of continuously learning far outweigh the result itself Thanks for being a part of the sales life for more on the sales life.
