All right, let's get it.Welcome to another episode of the Marsh Buice Podcast, where here you're gonna learn how to embrace uncertainty, handle the adversity, and never settle again. We're gonna beat that old complacency back.Today we're gonna explore the true meaning of doing your best and how doing your best can positively impact your life. Many people believe that being the best is the ultimate goal. But I wanna push back on that.Because you don't have to be the best to do your best.Doing your best is a personal journey that goes beyond comparison. It's about constantly striving to be better than you were yesterday. So what does doing your best actually mean?It means at the end of the day you recap it.With a series of questions, did I make the most of the opportunities that came my way?Did I learn something new and apply?Did I push past my self-imposed limitations?See, whenever that internal,no, no, don't do it.Don't do it.Did you push past that?My wife recently put on a weekend camp fitness camp. She had these big, huge, if you're on my Instagram stories, you've seen it,but she has these big, huge four foot tall tractor tires and the people she's training are all women. And so she had these tires out there in the field. They had to flip 'em.And one the ones that she was training said, Ms.Vera, I can't do that. And she said, you hadn't even tried. You're gonna flip this tire. And so she walked up to the tire and she tried to flip it and it came back on her and she dropped it and my wife told her, look, we don't have all day.Flip it.She got back up to it again, picked it up, kicked it with her knee.Boom.Dude, she felt like a million dollars. It was like the ultimate win.And you know, I, I saw that and there were so many metaphors to her flipping that tire because the tire.Is representative of the obstacles that we face in life. And we walk up to the tire and we say, the obstacle is too big.I can't move it.And without even trying Just like that young lady,we don't even try to flip it.But because my wife wouldn't tolerate it,she stepped up to it with other people watching, picked it up and dropped it.It's too heavy. My wife said, we're not done.Do it again.Fall back up to it.Feeling the peer pressure, everybody looking at her, the cameras are rolling. She figured out a way to flip it and what's interesting is the first time she flipped, it was hard. The second time she flipped, it was a little easier the third time.No problem.Because she learned through the struggle how to leverage herself to flip that tire. Was it easier?Did the tire suddenly get lighter? No.She got better. So did you push past your self-imposed limitations today?Whatever that four foot tall tractor tire was in your way today, whatever told you no.Whatever seemed insurmountable, undoable, did you try it?Anyway, so I'm telling you, dude. The fear is great. But pushing past that fear makes the results even sweeter.May take you a while, but boy, when you do it, cuz that's how you learn, right? That's the only way you can't learn by looking at the obstacle. She couldn't learn by looking at the tire.Get up underneath it,figure it out and flip it.Doing your best requires you to play your game.Do your job.Just make good decisions.Win one decision at a time, You don't have to do all, just do next.Just make a good decision, win this one decision and then win the next decision.See how simple that is?So many times for, we look at life from soup to nuts.We look at the totality of everything. We say, oh man, that's a long time. That's a long way next. It's not that far away.Just do next.Win this one decision.Take action on this one obstacle.Just bite into it and then rinse and repeat. This is how you develop a lifestyle that goes far beyond achieving some petty ass goal. It's what I want you to begin, cloaking yourself in.Yes.I used a medieval term cloak.Cloak yourself in a lifestyle, man. This is a lifestyle I'm trying to get you to develop. Not some goal.I got a goal to do this.I got a goal to make this much money.I got a goal to lose this much weight.No.What's your lifestyle? It's good to have those, those ideas. It's good to stretch for something, but the money in your account, the number on the scale is not who you are. It's just a representation of the discipline and the effort that you've put in.Remember your best.May not be the same as your best in the past.Better not be, because the baseline always moves every day. It's about growth and evolution.I liked, uh, David Goggins, his second book in every chapter was titled Evolution two, evolution three.I love that.Cause that's what it is.That's what life is.It's an evolution. And every day is an opportunity to reset and start anew. That's why the Bible says renew your mind.Renew doesn't say re old.Doesn't say recycle. It says renew your mind.Every day. It's brand new.Zeroed out.Great day yesterday, zero today.Terrible day yesterday, zero.Today, new day. It's called Present for a reason.Open that box up.Let's go.So don't dwell on the days when you didn't do your best.Just learn from 'em.Carry the lessons over, not the losses, and build on them.Strive to do better today.because this is an unlimited game with infinite possibilities. It's about progress, not perfection. So keep going.Even when you face setbacks, nothing is for nothing.Every experience, whether win or loss, holds valuable lessons and the losses hold way more lessons. So you gotta embrace these challenges.Analyze your performance, make the necessary adjustments.Continue doing your best because remember, doing your best is a mindset that breeds success. It's about constant growth and improvement. So now that we're at the end, let me throw a few questions your way that you can think about this week. How, how can you redefine. What doing your best is and shift your focus from comparison to personal growth and progress.See, comparison is beating yourself up for lost time.Missed opportunities.Should have.Woulda, could've.No, gotta do my best today and every day.Doing your best.Remember, it's an evolution. You get better each time.Did I do best today?Did I make good decisions?Did I keep the commitments to myself? And did I make good decisions Just win the decision.Second question, what areas of your life.Do you feel you could push past your self-imposed limitations and strive to do your best? What's standing in your way?And let me give you a hint. It's no man or no thing. It's that three pounds sitting on top of your neck. That's what's standing in your way.So you gotta put on this growth mindset and embrace the journey of improvement.Just embrace it.Embrace the struggle it's supposed to be there. It's only the way you grow. And the last question I wanna leave you with, what are some practical steps that you can take to integrate the principles of doing your best into your daily life?Prioritizing some task, set some clear goals, cultivate a mind of continuous improvement.Try the six checkpoints or mile markers. The checkpoints, there's six of them.I gotta click through every day.You know, when I'm on Twitter, there's a lot of those questions and I answer 'em all the same. How do you build better habits? How do you stick to a plan Process six checkpoints.Wake up at a set time, work out, read, write, share everybody's an ex expert at something and prepare the clothes that you're gonna wear for working out and going to work the day before and prepare what you're gonna eat for that day. That's it.You do those six things, you'll achieve massive, massive success. All right, let's get outta here.Remember, man, you don't have to be the best to do your best.Just keep pushing, keep growing, keep doing your best because your potential is unlimited.Who needs to hear this episode?Share it with them please. And remember, keep it simple, keep it moving.Never settle.Keep selling.Stay amazing.
