683. You Got 5 Minutes! | To Be Successful You Have To Do Something Unexpected.

Welcome to the sales life. I'm your host, Marsh Buice and this is a new series called you got five minutes and in five minutes or less, I'm going to get you in and out and on with your life to be successful. You got to do something on unexpected, man. Think about when you get into a rut, when you get in a rut, you just doing the same thing over and over. At best, but probably at worst you're pulling your punch a little bit. You play in a little bit soft. You're doing a little bit less because you're scared. This is why you got to break out. You gotta shake it up a little bit. And I'm not saying you just scrap your process, but I am saying sometimes your shelf, the process, because see, you got to know form and structure to be able to break form & structure. So when you get into that process and dude, you're doing it mechanically, technically sound, everything is right. But sometimes that just doesn't work. And when that happens, what professional players do they break it, they break form and structure. They get outside of it to shake it up, to make something happen because to be successful, you got to do something unexpected. And if you'll do unexpected things, then you're going to build resilience for unexpected moments and confidence for unexpected results. These are those OMG moments. Oh my God. Things that for years you passed on, but yet you had nothing to lose. Sometimes when you have nothing to lose is when you got everything to gain. So when you do something unexpected and you're going for those unexpected moments, if it doesn't work out, you've got resilience. You build the resilience because you were bold enough to go at it. And guess what? You lived. And if it does work, you got the unexpected results. And now that fenced in yard that you've been playing in for years, the yard just got bigger. And now you realize that you can do more, it puffs up your chest a little bit. When you do something unexpected, you become. Solution-focused instead of problem centered. See, when people get in a rut, all they do is they talk about the problems. They talk about all the co-workers, all the managers, all the customers, all the world, economic pressures, they talk about everything else. That's the problem. But when you do something unexpected, you just look for a solution. It don't work out. Next think about Murphy's law. What does Murphy's law says? Murphy's law says anything that can go wrong will go wrong. And people use Murphy's law as an excuse. It makes him a victim. . Let me tell you what Murphy's law is. As it relates to, to be successful, you got to do unexpected things. Murphy's law states that anything that can go wrong will go wrong. And when it goes wrong, damn it. I'm ready for it. Remember, the greatest sale that you will ever make is to sell you on you because you're more than enough. Stay amazing. Stay in the sales life.
