The greatest sale you will ever make is to sell you on you. You're more than enough. Never settle. Keep Selling.
This is the sales life. I'm your host marsh B. And I created the sales life because I believe the number one skill that you need in your life to embrace uncertainty, handle the adversity and never settle again is the ability to sell, but you don't have to be in sales to learn how to sell. I'll take the skills that I've learned in the sales profession, and I'll show you how I've applied these to every area of my life and how you can too. Enjoy today's TSL moment and see how you can apply it to your life today. For more on the sales life. Go to marshbuice.com that's M a R S H B U I C E. Stay. There's a big difference between affect and effect effect with an, a effect with an E. Take, for instance, a carbonated beverage. So if I take no action on the carbonated beverage and I popped the top, what to do. Little bit of air release. That's the end of it. But if I shake this bottle up, then when I open it up, all that pressure that's built up. It's gonna cause everything to spew everywhere. That's AFFECT and EFFECT the action affects the results. Now, as it relates to you, when you're trying to initiate change, don't let the effects, your current results interfere with the next action that you take. They don't get to determine that you just take the action every single day. For instance, if you're trying to lose weight, you take action and the results aren't sudden weight loss, the results are soreness, fatigue. Or if you're trying to be more productive at work, you take action. You take on more. And the only thing that you get in return. It's a state of overwhelm. This is where most people quit. They quit because they don't see the instant results. They can't see an outcome. They have no certainty of when the outcome's gonna come about. So they take no further action. They allow the current results to determine their next action. And they say, oh well. And revert back to who they were. Stay with it because your soreness is your body's way of saying, Hey, this is new. Taking on more at work and your brain is overloaded and it seems like, man, you can't even sleep well at night because you're just thinking about work. And you're like, oh my God, what did I do? Stay with it because you're developing new capacities. Don't quit just because you don't see change doesn't mean change isn't happening when you're trying to initiate change, there's four phases. You're gonna go through number one, you're gonna meet hellified resistance because you're outta your comfort zone. Your body is like saying, what the hell are we doing, bro? So you're gonna have the resistance. Then you get into doubt and you start questioning yourself, man, is this even worth it? And then once you push past that, then you're in that no man's land and that no man's land is like, a dead zone. You've already pushed past resistance. You've already pushed past doubt. And it's just like, nothing's happening. You're not really questioning yourself anymore. You're not really saying anything at all. You're just ploting along. And you keep going and then you reach that tipping point. And that tipping point is where all of the sacrifice, all of the hard work shows up in massive results. This is where people look at you as an overnight success. It looks like that all of a sudden, everything came to you overnight. Yesterday, you were fat today. You're fit. Oh my God. Overnight, yesterday. You were broke. Today you're doing well. Oh my God. Overnight. What did you do? See they think it's the magic bullet. The one thing that you did it wasn't overnight. It was over time. Thanks for being a part of the sales life for more on the sales life. Go to marshbuice.com that's M a R S H B U I C E. Be sure and subscribe to not miss any future episodes.
