All right. 3, 2, 1. Let's get it. One thing that's incredibly cathartic. About writing. Is it's probably. The only time. And the longest time. That you'll sit with yourself during the day. And it's in those moments. That is just you and the page. Sealed off from the world. And to get this thing going. It's super simple. You just tell yourself. That all I have to do. Is write . One page today. Just write one page or set your timer for 15 minutes. And say when the timer goes off, Regardless where I'm at. I'm just going to put the pin down, walk away from it. In saying that. Or creating that act. It sounds so simple. But in that simplicity. Lies a profound journey for you. I can't even describe it. Because when you commit to this daily, Process of just writing one page per day. Oftentimes it's not. You're not just filling the pages. You're embarking. On a deep exploration. Of your mind and you're unlocking levels. Of thought and creativity. That you never even knew were there. I mean, think about it. How high you go in life. Is deeply connected. To how deep you're willing to think. I mean. We could turn off the mic right there. Amen. Hallelujah. See the tallest trees, don't just sprout in six inches of soil. They got to go deep. Because that's where the richest minerals are. And that's what you're doing when you write. We're not just scratching the surface any longer. It seems like it, the mind hack is just one page. Oh, what's one page, one page. Done every single day is going to take you. Very deep. It's going to unlock. Areas of your life. Th that you never even knew were there. And you're going to start to see your mind. Connect the dots. That's how cathartic. That's how powerful writing is for you. Just like the big oak trees that got to go deep. So do you. And writing that one page, man, you're just getting a little bit deeper, a little bit deeper into the depths of your mind. When you set your sights on writing just one page a day. Like I said, you're tricking your mind into starting something. That's actually much grander. Initially. It seems like a small task. But I'm telling you. It mean, you're going to hook up one day and you're going to say. Marsh, I had no idea. Because when you say, look, I just got to sit down and write one page. Anything you want to write about? Just write one page. The resistance of your mind is going to say, come on, dude, let's get this over with. But it's crazy, man. As you begin to write. And your mind relaxes. You find this free flow of thought. And these ideas. And insights. Began to unlock. Initially, sometimes it's a struggle to fill that one page. I have a lot of times like that and I just sit down. And I stammer and hammer just to get to the bottom of the page. And I'm forcing myself to write. I'm like, I really not. I'm really not feeling this. But I say, look, it's just one page. And it's crazy, man, about three quarters of the page down. It's like my mind unlocks. And this flow state. Kicks in. Craziest thing ever. This is the state where all of your inhibitions get released. It was holding on for about three quarters of a page, and then booms, like the brakes come off. It's like the mental brakes come off. And everything that you were holding back in your thoughts and in your words, Just start rolling out with incredible momentum. It is a feeling I'm telling you. I can't describe. Only you can feel. This is where true creativity and insight lie. And sometimes man. It's like the pen begins to write itself. It, does you hear authors talk about that? And it's just like, it takes a, it takes a path of its own. And that's what happens. Sometimes my writing is so furious and the thoughts are coming out so fast. That the pen is writing on its own. So much so that it's hard for me to even. I can't even read what I wrote. It's it's so bad. And if you go to my Instagram stories, when I post what I write people laugh about me. Like, dude, how do you even read that? This is why almost immediately record what I just wrote. That way, when I come back to it later on, If I can't read the page. Then I can listen to the audio version of it and be like, oh, okay. Cause sometimes, man, I got to read all around the words in like, I don't even know what this says. But I just listened to the audio and it kicks back into gear. Writing is the glue for your mind. Because it prevents you from unraveling. And helping you unspool your thoughts carefully and methodically. So you unraveling is not a good thing. You don't want to unravel. That's where you go off the rails and snap. But when you write. Instead of unraveling. You unspool your thoughts. it forces you to think. It forces you to contextualize. And you have to articulate. Those thoughts. Into words. There's so much beauty in using the pen over the keyboard. And I would tell you don't use the keyboard because you're going to, self-censor using the keyboard, but when you write. It's just a state of free flow, man. You just rolled them with it. So before we wrap up. Let me share a couple of quick tips that really worked for me. And how to integrate this practice into your daily life. First. Keep a voice memo app open on your phone and record your thoughts throughout the day. These are going to be conversations, ideas, book, passages, videos. Chance encounters. Talks with customers, phone call, just all these things. That just pop in man, record them because I'm telling you, you're not going to remember by the time you get home. So if you record those thoughts, what's really good about that is is you can record the emotions behind the thoughts too. And so that way in your writing passages in the morning, you can sit down and replay that. I do that, man. I'll go back three years. I have like almost 3000 messages. I have almost 3000 voice memos. in my app. I'll go back, man. And I'll go back years and listen to it. Because I captured it in the moment. It just free flowed my thought. And I can hear what's going on in the background. I remember exactly where I was. That's what's cool about it. That you don't get that. If you're trying to save the idea and write it down when you get home, besides you're going to write it on something and not know where you put it. So when you're having that morning session and you want to write, you don't have it, you can't find it. That's the, that's the beauty of the voice memo app, because you can label it and reference back to it later on. Another tip. So aside from keeping your voice memo app. Open on your phone and just capturing the thoughts. Get into this routine. Just capture it. What I would recommend to do is 10 to 15 minutes of random reading every day. there are books that I go cover to cover on. But in the mornings, I like to pull a book off the shelf. One that just kind of stands out at me. I go to the table of contents. I find a chapter that kind of resonates with my soul, that that day. And I set my timer for 15 minutes, which is usually about one chapter. And I read that and sometimes it'll trigger just an epiphany. And I can begin to write on that thought. And what's important is, is that you don't right. Word for word, what you just read? You write what it means to you see when you're reading and you become seasoned at reading. I read for ideas. I read four triggers for sparks, where all of a sudden it triggers something is like, oh my God, this is how I can relate it to my life. Or this is how I have related it to my life yet. I didn't know how to contextualize it. That's the beauty of. 10 to 15 minutes of random reading every single day. So that way in the mornings, when you're first starting, I mean, you're trying to wake up. And you're like, I don't know what I'm supposed to be writing about those two habits. When you develop that will help you have a bank. To draw from. So you can listen to your voice memo apps and find something that re that you run with are in your morning session, 10 to 15 minutes. Not only do you get some reading done and some fresh reading done, but also it may trigger something that allows you to contextualize it and put it into thought form as well. Man, I can't stress writing enough. Aside from a process, that's the drum I bang all the time. So I hope that you're inspired to pick up the pen and start on this journey, man, of self-discovery I'm telling you. There are people who DM me all the time and like marsh, I had no idea. How powerful writing was going to be. Until I did it for myself. You won't know, don't take my word for it. You just going to have to do it yourself and what's freeing about it is it's not like you got to have a Stephen King novel it's for you. It's just to . Unlock your mind. And when you do that, man, you're going to think clearer. You're going to think quicker. And you're going to find that lifelines up things along the way of something that you just wrote about it. And you walk out and you go throughout your day and boom, you cross the intersection of life and life says. I'm listening to you. Here it is. You just wrote about that this morning. It's a beautiful day, man. All right, let's get outta here. Remember, keep it simple. Keep it moving. Never settle. Stay tough. Let's go.
