Alright. 3, 2, 1, let's get it optimized for a few things. And everything else has got to be good enough. What is optimization optimization? Means that you make the best. Are most effective use. Of a situation or a resource. Optimize for a few things. Make the best use of a few things. And everything else, bro has gotta be good enough. It is impossible. To be perfect. And everything you are not going to land a perfect 10. You are not going to have a life of a perfect 10. So why are we wasting so much emotional? Currency. And. S snarling at the world. Because we're pissed off because things aren't working out our way. You just need a few things, man. If you've, Domino's put those things in place. And everything else, bro. You just got to kind of roll with it. So you can do anything today. But you can't do everything. Got to remember that. And that's a hard pill at times for me to swallow. But damn is it the truth? So, what I want you to do is I want you to optimize for a few things. And everything else. You gotta be good enough. Good enough. It's gotta be good enough. I mean, think back. I think about. The times when everything. As to fall perfectly in place. And you have this perfectly laid plan. You have 25 things. That you got to cram into a day. But see the thing that in your mind on paper, It all makes sense. At all. Seems perfect. But what day is perfect, because see, there are variables that are outside of your control. There are situations that are going to come up. That you did not forecast for. Yeah, we didn't plan for those things. It's it's like designing a, a football play. Every player is designed to be a touchdown. Every play is designed to be a touchdown. Yeah, not every play is a touchdown. Is it? And the reason being is because there are factors that come into place. There are situations that come up that arise. There are mistakes that are made. And it ends up being a busted play. Art ends up going just a few yards. And that's what you got to look at in your own life. Because. Not everything is going to go perfect. And so the perfect plan that you make. It's too rigid. I mean, I think back to my own life, everything that I've quit. And it's many things. Everything that I've quit. Is because I tried to cram too much into a given day. And I. I couldn't sustain it. I didn't have the energy or the bandwidth. Too. Repeat that thing every single day. Could I do it one day? Yeah. Could I do it for a couple of days? Yeah. Could I do it for a couple of weeks, maybe. Most likely no. But that's what happens. And then we burn out. And instead of adjusting, just one thing. What do we do? We scrapped the whole thing. And we say maybe next month, maybe next year, maybe another corner. You cannot burn out burnout. Is not a badge of honor, man. Burnout will bury you. And if you do receive the badge. Because you did so much because you worked so hard. You're going to receive the badge. Posthumously. After your death. So somebody else. Is is, is gonna pick up the prize. You'll never see it because you burned the fuck out, man. You need sustained energy. For an infinite period of time. And understand, man, you can never burn out. Greg McKeown. Wrote that if your job is to keep the fires burning. For an infinite period of time. That you can't throw all the fuel. On the flame. At the beginning. Go back and replay that man. Think about that. That's exactly what we do. We fill up this 10 gallon. Can. Of new ideas. And processes. And we wake up. And we dump out. Okay. And all at once. And poof. There goes all our hopes and dreams. Just go up in flames, big flame, short burn. And you need an infinite burn, man. This is an infinite game. You play when the game is over, you won't realize it. So. You just got to keep things simple. That's why I end every single podcast. With keep it simple. Keep it moving. I'm not just telling you that, man. I gotta remind myself of that as well. Live doesn't need our help. To make it any more hard. Than it already naturally is. I mean, bro, you can do everything. Statistically, theoretically. Spiritually right. And shit goes wrong. Because there are many times. That the unforeseen things happen and things that are outside of your control. Good person. Bad things. It happens. Bad things happen to good people. We're all living proof of that. So, what you need to do is you need to optimize. For just a few things in your life. And everything else has to be good enough. See the good enough. Doesn't mean, you just like. No, but the good enough creates the flexibility that you need. To role with the unforeseen. To roll with things that are outside of your control. It's the flexibility that you need, that you're not so rigid and crispy man that you just snap. Few things. The rest. You roll with. So the optimization for you. First things first, man. You come first. And if you put yourself first. Everyone else. Benefits your family. Your friends. Loved ones, your work. Your future and flipped burn. Just a few things. Put yourself first. So your frustration doesn't come from everything that you do. Your frustration stems from. Everything you don't do. Or everything you can't sustain. Think about that. So just succeed at a few things. And surrender to the rest. And roll with the flow. So optimizing for a few things. It was getting the first things first, it's getting just three or four things. Keep it simple, bro. Three or four things. And then it's like adding a cap full of fuel. Which is your effort every day, not the whole can. Just. Just enough to keep the flame going. And that way. You have more fuel? In the tank. And you're not so. Emotionally. It's spiritually beat up. And flamed out. That you can't be present. You have nothing in the tank. To deal with other things that come about to be present with your family and your loved ones. So optimize for just a few things. These are your lead dominoes? 1, 2, 3. See, you can line up all these dominoes. A hundred of them on the floor. It's the first two or three. That start the chain reaction for everything else. By the third domino man shit's happening. And sometimes when you lie on all those up and these designs, you know, I used to love to do that. And you line all these dominoes up. Sometimes man, you're going to get to that 25th. And it's going to stall out. Oh, it's okay. Because what's good about optimizing for just a few things. You pick up that one domino. In front of the stall out. You adjusted. And you tip it back over. And shit starts happening again. That's what's good about optimizing for just a few things. Because. Instead of scrapping everything. You just reposition that one thing. You address it? Instead of you're not having a fight. 50 different things. You don't have to do all that. You just adjust for that one thing, because a lot of times, man, you. It's just, it's like an alignment in a car. You just. Adjust the alignment a little bit. And when you adjust that alignment, that one thing maybe got off, you know, maybe you're just, you know, you had three or four things and something came up and that one thing kind of. Kind of knocked everything else a little bit out of alignment, not didn't scrap it. Just a little bit out of alignment. So you line up that one. Reposition it it's easier to address one. One is easier than all. So you dress that one, you get it back in position. And you're good to go on that. So pick a few things. That aligned with your higher self. They create energy. For you. And a sense of fulfillment. These things that you can just check the box. So just a few things for me. If I had to pick just three things, let me tell you what they will be. Number one read. I do 10 to 15 minutes of random reading every single day. I like different random readings. I do read books, covered cover. But a lot of times, man, in the mornings, I like to just grab something off the shelf that kind of speaks to my soul. And I read that. I set my timer for 10, 15 minutes. I read that. As a matter of fact, what I read today. Helped inspire some of the thoughts that I'm sharing with you today. The second thing that I do. There's a right, right. One page every single day. These are the things that it helps me empty my mind. It helps me clarify my thoughts. It keeps me in alignment. With the person. But the man that I want to be. And then the third thing, if I'm going to optimize for three things read right. Workout. Working out. I didn't have to be at a gym all the time, but working out. Creeds the six pack of wealth. The six things of wealth. It's what creates wealth. The mental wealth. So you want to, when I work out. I can, it, it keeps me mentally sharp. I can push to the edge. I could push myself. So that way. Sets me up for real life scenarios. Have that. I have that. That, that mental edge. Spiritual wealth. Me taking care of myself. Is my gift back to God and thinks physical wealth look good. Feel good. Financial wealth. Tell you something. If I'm healthy. If feel good. If I look good. Shit. I can be broke right then and there. But I won't stay broke. But if I don't have my health. No matter how much wealth I have. Money-wise I can't buy it back. So I'll take care of this and that sets sets the stage financially for everything else. Emotional wealth. Working out helps regulate those emotions. And relational wealth. I like to go work out with my wife. And so she comes along. As a matter of fact, she's waiting right outside this door, waiting on me. We're going to go get it in and we can laugh. And clown. We we're we're we're stretched all throughout the day. I talked to her for two minutes here and there. But in the mornings, man, that's our time. We carve out that time and we work out together. She works me out. She, she pushes me. She puts new exercises on me. And she's got her own gym, man. So she. I'm her Guinea pig. So she puts these things on it. See that's. That's what's great about this, man. Just optimize them for a few things. And then everything else has got to be good enough. So the three things that you pick. They may not solve your problem. In the moment. But they will equip you. Just pick a few things. They will equip you. To handle. Whatever else comes your way. All right. Let's get out of here. Keep it simple. Keep it moving. Never settle. Stay tough. Thanks for sharing. Subscribing. Much love peace.
