#469 Invest in "Big Energy" people.

#469 Invest in

"You are the people that you keep." ~Ryan Serhant

Who are the people that you keep? Who do you chop it up with the most? Would you want to be like them? If you were like them, would you be giving up the life that you have now or would you be reaching reach up to a level that you'd want to be?

Maybe some of the people have been with you since middle school-you've been through the gutters and fire with them...but do they have some place higher to be like you? Are you constantly having to pick them up from the same self-inflicted problems?

Are you their main source of power and motivation? Because much of growth is self-driven.

What kinds of problems do they have? Nickle and dime problems? Are they always complaining about "the man" or baby mama's? Are do they have big, productive problems? Their problems are which multi-million dollar decision to make first.

"Connect with people bigger than you. The kinds of people you want to be like 5-10 years from now." (Serhant's words on Jordan Paris' podcast) Connecting with people bigger than you are the ones who want to help you because they see themselves in you.

The people you hang with now want to keep right where you are because they see you at eye level. They'll keep you plateaued by sabotaging you-directly or indirectly. They'll drain you of your energy with their words and actions. These are the ones who only want to talk about the injustices while buying another round of drinks.

Hall of Famers only hang with Hall of Famers. Top producers only hang with top producers. If you desire to be like them, then you have to be seen like them. The way you carry, think, act, and talk.

And just like any worthy investment, it doesn't happen over night...it happens over time.

Earn it.

Never settle, keep selling your way through life no matter what!
